Darkfeather flicked his ear, his young ears had heard Finchstar's quiet words.
"You're not useless. If you can't help in physical fights, you can help in the mental. Give others kind words of advise. Assist them with words and not actions. Personally, I beleive verbal help is the best help available." He lectured in a calm, cool voice.
He smiled and looked around. He then saw His oldest son, Cragfrost helping his youngest son, Dustpaw with his hunting crouch, he even saw Weaselstar, the StormClan leader, assisting a golden ReedClan she-cat with a broken spine across the clearing.
"It is not shamefull to ask for help, as well. Everyone will need it atleast once in their life." He added as he looked back at the injured leader, Cirruscurrent and Shadowfire.

Shadowfire looked away, ears drooping. He had been a bit down lately. He'd have to ask for a lot of help. Sure, he had learned to fight and hunt. But not like a warrior. How could he teach is own new apprentice how to fight and hunt correctly while he didnt even?
"I.." he threw his gaze to his paws and unsheathed them as he dug his claws into the dirt. "I. I need help with my apprentice, Twigpaw." he mumbled, only taking a moment to check there expressions before glancing away again. "I was assigned an apprentice-" his voice began to rise in a squeaky way when he became embarrassed and annoyed at himself. "but I dont know the first thing about being a warrior! I was never taught how to hunt or fight by any of you-I was taught by Harley!" his voice had taken on a wail but he couldnt stop himself. "I was never taught how to be a warrior! How can I possibly teach a kitten? I'll just screw his training up! I'll just ruin everything!" he snapped. His eyes showed disdain and uncertainty. He looked up at them for a split second, before looking away.
He was such a fool.

Redfur lay there silently, waiting for the right moment to speak. All the commotion had awoken her, but she didn't mind. Upon hearing the pain in her dear friend's voice, she slowly got up and flopped down by Finch's side. She rest her head on him, whispering, "You're not useless. At least not to me. You're my best friend. My comforter. My companion. You're the cat that can make me happy when no one else can. Heck, you can make just about anyone happy. You're just that amazing. Finch, you've given us hope, pride, courage, and wisdom. You can still do that by just being strong and carrying on your legacy, even in a time like this." Her emerald eyes gazed up into his, the emotions in them were well hidden. She held her gaze until she heard Shadowfire speak. "You've got bees in your brain. Of course you're not going to ruin everything. Harley taught you things that we don't know, things that may help us become stronger and get ahead. Your apprentice should be proud they get to learn from such a great, knowledgable mentor. Oh, and of course there's plenty of us here that wouldn't mind helping." Her tail whisked around, gesturing to the mass of cats in the area. Most of them were friendly and understanding; No doubt they'd be willing to help.

Cirruscurrent was glad when Redfur spoke up and she purred warmly, watching the cats around her with her whiskers twitching in amusement. "It's kind of silly, Finchstar, for you to think that way. Why, without you, none of us would even be here living and breathing." her tail gently touched his shoulder for comfort and then she smile helpfully, "Besides, Redfur is right...Where would YOU be without her?" she purred and her eyes glittered with mirth. Then, she turned to the dark Tom Shadowfire, "And you. We all struggle with dark times, especially now. And it's great that you realize that you need help, and if you'll allow me, I'd like to help you with mentoring with my own apprentice." her tail curled up in happiness, still proud to finally be able to show little ones everything she knew.

Finchstar's pelt warmed with the praise of his friends. As although each and every cat's words worked their way into his mind one stick particularly. Redfur..... At the scent of her his heart felt like it would melt. Companion? He was reminded of how he felt for her..... he did love her, so why didn't he say so. Some how there was a tight chain bound in his chest keeping his heart and emotions sealed. He couldn't hold back the content purr.... "I see...." he rumbaed. "Thank you all..." He mewed gently. "well I shall hope them that my voice does not fail me, because I hope I can continue to be a useful cat." He said with humor in his tone.
