Trapped

His ear twitched as he heard her finally catch up to him, only having just caught his dirty vole, to signal that he's heard the skinny she-cat. His mouth full of vole, the Tom flicked his tail against her flank to point out the shrew half dead with age just crouched over in a small burrow beneath a particularly large root.

He motioned for her to catch it if she wished, showing that he was courteous and was only hard-headed when other cats' survival depended upon it.

EclipseFur looked at HawkTide before she simply padded towards the shrew. It looked up to her,it struggle to stand up and run,but it was so old EclipseFur easily leaped and killed it with one paw. She looked back the shrew dangling from her jaws,she dropped it down and licked her bloody paw.

"Should we eat now or save it for later..."she meowed pointing forward with her tail.

She yawned picking up the shrew again,her tail lashing,looking back her fur prickled with disgust how filthy her fur was! She wanted to groom it but it was best to wait until they stopped for a rest for her to worry about her fur at the moment.

He blinked at her as if she was absurd for asking. She had already eaten and yet she wanted more? His eyes widened with shock and even disgust for he did not realize at first how starving she was. Then he turned from her and dropped his prey down before realizing.

Hawktide turned to her then, the corners of his mouth twitching as if he'd forgot how to smile, and he grunted, "You eat too fast and too much and you're sure to get sick. No more for you. For now. Finchstar needs the energy these two will give off. Come. It's time to be among friends once more." he mused and turned back to pick up his vole and beckoned her with his tail.

Where he proceeded to take off towards their 'home'.

EclipseFur shrugged and padded after him,her eyes glowing with excitement to be with her clan again. Her tail lifted up straight and gracefully behind her.

"What would you expect from a starving cat that was stuck for days with out food or water..."she meowed though he was right...FinchStar was elderly last time she saw him,he would need the shrew more then she did...but she didn't
mind the bird had helped her hunger,and all she wanted was to be home.

Hearing her mutter, his whiskers twitched with amusement at the pettiness of the argument. He was right no matter how much she bellyached about it, and he knew she realized it too, though he didn't want to be. Truly he wanted her to eat her fill, along with Finchstar and the queens and everyone else and then maybe himself.

Hawktide was a simple, old-fashioned tomcat. His long legs ate up the ground as he took her to the makeshift camp and slowed upon their arrival. Then he turned to her, his flanks rising and falling with deep breaths, "Here we are..."
