Not once did Tunnel’s expression change, and not once did he move. He had provoked Shadowfire, alright; and now he was listening with the same unemotional silence, coming to life only when the black tom was done. His reaction? A quick and neutral laugh; repeated twice, before the stillness was his ones more. “Correct.” What? He gave no explanation; only shook his head once, and bend himself over a bit to return Honey’s head-rubbing. Confused? He wasn’t; he took in Shadow’s snap and stored that, too, forever.
He gave no sign of where he stood on it; just turned to Honey once again, after sending Shadow a glance that spoke nothing. “Don’t worry, dear. I’m not trying to start anything. I’m sure Shadow knows this?” He glanced at him, once again. No, Tunnel. No normal cat would assume such an outrageous accusation had nothing behind it. They were right, too..He had said his words with meaning, but eh..Not the meaning many would have. It was in his eyes, a way to get to know this cat for who they really where. Maybe he ought to get better methods. Yeah, like that was going to happen.
He gave his tail a flick, and reached out to lick at the orange she-cat’s cheek, before straightening up and sitting back down. Watching again, too, with his ever-attentive eye. “The clans are one, now. Starclan knows when we will be safe enough to break apart once more, and who knows what could happen by then. I realize, It may be none of my business who I challenge outside of ‘Stormclan’, but I think it is. Bad prey will only spread sickness, no matter where it is found. I’m sure you’re not so bad, though, are you?”
