Bearfang huffed out an irritated sigh. "Alright, almighty wise elder, you know best. Let's hurry on then." His voice was tired. Drained, actually. The fight that was in him had left completely now. He felt too tired to even be embarrassed by the tom's comment. "We're just friends, by the way. No need to do that." He lunged forward, almost knocking the beetle off of him, eager to tread deeper. Perhaps there might be some small patch of life that was somehow saved despite all the wreckage. Now at a steady trot, he gazed at the sky. He never thought he'd feel so unprotected by the trees that later a scattered mess. Not paying attention, he jerked back with a surprised meow, almost throwing off the beetle that still clung to him. Cold water had touched his furry paws. "Oh. Just water.. Hmm.. I wonder if we could fish.." He studied the water and waited for the other two to catch up. A faint noise caught his attention, forcing him to jerk his head up suddenly. "Huh? What was that? ....Did you two here that?"

Adderfall sighed giving up on the fact of simmering down the old tom's temper. "Aggreed." She said simply padding alongside Bearfang. Her eyes traveled over the black and white tops face giggling when he was surprised by water. She laughed. " Don't get your fur wet now." She smirked pricking her ear to left hearing exactly what Bearfang heard. She spoke nearly matching her dear friends words to the point. "Did you hear that?"

Gorsetalon looked in the direction Adderfall and Bearfang were. "Hear what?" He had heard something, he just wasn't exactly sure what. He shook his head. "It was probably nothing. Just our imaginations. As I said before, we're not going to find anyone." He thought it hopeless that anyone could have survived this if they were left behind. He clawed through a dead clump of grass, wishing it was something that could actually fight back.

"Hear that noise..? I'm not so sure it was our imaginations.." He cast a wary glance in the direction he thought he heard the noise at. Perhaps Gorsewhatsit had actually been right about a predator hiding around here. I sure hope not.. "Hey, you should go check it out. You know, since you're the more experienced one and all. Of course, with your attitude you'd probably scare it off in a heartbeat.. But still." Bearfang figured if it were something worth worrying about, the other tom might feel better if he could return to camp with the tale of how he 'heroically saved two stormclanners'. Not that he'd need saving, but he was trying to make the tom a bit happier somehow.

(hello! Not quite sure what has happened previously so I will just jump in! Please excuse any misspellings and short posts as I an typing from my phone ) Robinstrike was limping, his old would was hurting agin and the fall had t helped. He glared at the trees around him with resent and distaste. This wasn't what he remembered. He remembered warm rocks and sand, bright sun and the open sky above his head. THAT was what cragclan was! Not this broke patch of desolated land! He twitched his head, as if to get rid o an annoying fly and he corrected himself as he so often had to do. It isn't cragclan, cragclan is gone and now my home is marshclan. stinking, Damp, fetid marshclan. And now even that was gone. The three years he had been gone had given him false hopes... He had hoped that he would come back to find cragclan, or at least less water. He had hoped to return to his clan but now he was just wondering lost and alone in a place he wasn't even sure WAS marshclan... It could be anywhere in the four clans and he wouldn't know...

Gorsetalon threw his head and glared at Bearfang. "Fine. I will." He grumbled and padded towards where the sound had come from. He stiffened, narrowing his eyes. "I smell a cat...." Shaking his head in disbelief, he kept his head low, hoping there was no cat. He really didn't want the two StormClan cats to be right. How could anyone survive out here!? "Hello!? Is anyone there?" He must admit, he seemed almost like a different cat when he knew there was a survivor. He was a loyal cat even through all his problems, and he knew when to be hopeful. He stopped and looked back at the group, narrowing his eyes, remembering who was with him. "Seems like you two might be right." Glaring angrily, he sighed. Hoping it was someone who he could actually tolerate, he padded on.

Adderfall smirked slightly, her bright green gaze locking onto Bearfang's before she padded after the grumpy old tom. " Not only did you just a few moments ago scowled Bearfang about yelling and you just yelled but we find a maybe survivor." She laughed alittle trudging on after him in the brush.

Robinstrike snarled as he stumbled over his own tired feet. He squeezed his eyes shut, holding back the surge of emotion just begging to leap out of him in any form it could. Anger at this broken land, sadness at the loss of everything and fear. A deep fear that he had never felt before. It was the fear of the helpless.
Before he had been strong, strong enough to always survive but he past three years has taken its toll and he was thin and ragged. His head hung low as the emotions ebbed into drained numbness....

MORE
suddenly, a noise! Robinstrikes ears and fur prickled and he's eyes narrowed. Even if he was in no fit condition he would let whatever this thing may be take him down without a fight, however weak he may be...

Gorsetalon hissed as he realized he slightly recognized the scent. He crept forward, his fur bristling more and more. As he stepped out of some bushes, he snarled. Here was the one cat he hated. The cat he trusted, and who abandoned him! Oh, how he wished to rip him to shreds. But he wouldn't do that, right? He was a loyal cat, and knew the code. He watched Robinstrike walk, his back turned to Gorsetalon. "Robinstrike!" He growled, baring his teeth. "You coward..." The tom's eyes were narrowed, and his tail was bushed up. He seemed ready to leap in his anger.

gorsepaw... Was it still gorsepaw? It couldnt be, he was to large, to fierce to be the apprentice that Robinstrike left behind those years ago when his mind had snapped.
Gorsepaw, the cat that had depended on him and here he was now, bristling with anger, ready to fight him and robinstrike, at that moment was ready to fight back.
All the anger ran out of robinstrike. Of all the cats that he had though about, all the things that he regretted, gorsepaw was on of them.
He dropped his head, his tail slowly lowing back to its position of exhaustion. He don't want to fight. Not his apprentice...
" gorsepaw I... "

Gorsetalon snarled. "Im a warrior you fox-dung! It's Gorsetalon now." Gorsetalon watched Robinstrike. "Why'd you come back!? Felt the need to come than leave again? To hurt more? You should've died in that earthquake! You, of all cats, survive." The younger tom spoke with pure bitterness. He looked like a completely different cat when he confronted Robinstrike. He seemed like a savage, and that he could kill anyone who got in his path. "You don't deserve to live." He had never thought he would see Robinstrike again. He would have thought the tom had died like so many others, but no, he stood right there. Alive, maybe not fully well, but alive. Heart beating like all the living creatures. His body needing the basic needs to live just like Gorsetalon did. If it wasn't for these, Gorsetalon would have thought his old mentor was a ghost. But... no.. ghosts didn't exist. Did StarClan even exist to Gorsetalon? He wasn't sure if he believed in them after everything that happened. Especially now, now that they seemed to have let Robinstrike live. He felt his anger rise as thoughts rushed through his head.

As Adderfall peered around she didn't even notice Gorsetalon slink away. Her ears pricked forward listening when she heard aggravating hiss. She instantly snapped her attention to the back of her expecting anything. A rouge cat coming to scratch foe prey or even a badger. But to Adderfall's relief it's was nothing but leaves, trees, and upturned dirt. Her eyes traveled around when suddenly she realized Gorsetalon was no lover with them. Without another thought she pounced toward the direction of his scent, pushing through the bushes until the scent of fury and fear smacked into her like a wall.
Adderfall snorted looking up, her eyes slightly dazed as she caught Gorsetalon. The tom's pelt was bristling and his hackles raised. She heard him spit in rage, blocking her view of the cat he was raging at. Adderfall quickly stepped forwarding wanting to stop the conflict and end it with peaceful means. " Gorsetalon! Calm your fur!" She hissed stepping around the Tom to face the stranger. She looked up to be face with another tom, her eyes glinted with slight intrest. "Who are you?" She asked kindly, making sure to step between Gorsetalon and his foe.

Gorsetalon snarled. "He's a traitor! He abandoned his clan! He left me! He doesn't deserve any pity." He glared angrily at the older tom, his heart racing. He wanted so badly to tear through again he could get his claws on. To just feel it turn to pieces, would make him feel better.

Adderfall hissed looking at the Tom with a firey gaze "Doesn't give you the right to mangle his pelt!" She snapped her teeth at the older Tom. Her pelt bristling with fury, she hated to fight and would do anything to make sure no other cat would get hurt themselves.
