Camopaw A distance away from camp, in a shaded area with a leafy tree He wasn’t sure what was happening to him. Earlier the morning, while preforming his apprentice duties, he had felt himself get distracted. Again. For days now his mind was aching; trying desperately to focus, but coming up short time and time again. What would Farheart think, if she noted her apprentice seemed to be off in another world? He definitely didn’t want to disappoint, that was for sure. He had to show his clan was strong, and that he was strong. Unfortunately, strength had little to do with one’s mentality, and his was slowly being eaten up by things he did not understand. He shook. He didn’t quite realize it, but he was indeed shaking..Seated up on a large root, in the one tree he had found. Without any conscious recollection of it, he liked his paw and washed his head; thick tail giving a flew flickers. Even this brought memories. Memories which made him shake even more. No, he was not thinking of the tragedy. Not his parents, disappeared. Not other’s tragic stories of loss and destruction. No. These memories..They were recent, and good memories. Good..If he didn’t mind them consuming his entire mind, along with thoughts pertaining to them. He licked his paw again, and then reapeated his previous action. And again. And again. By the time he finally noticed and put his paw down, his fur had nearly been stuck that way. Woops. What’s happening to me? He turned a bit, and curled up; hanging his front paws over the root, and staring off into the distance. Camp was near, but not..too near. Near enough to be far, but near enough not to be in any particular danger. Screaming distance, but not talking distance. Even in this new position, he still had to shake his head and give his arm a lick. I just can’t stop thinking about her.

SpiderpawJust like the world is ours, We are who we are. Oh the pride! The small apprentice was radiating it; beaming with pride. At what..? The scrawny mouse dangling from her jaws by it's tail. It wasn't much. Small, dull. Yes.. not particularly the prize catch of the day.. but.. it was prey. Prey she had caught all by herself! Hunting.. it wasn't he favorite activity, and it certaintly wasn't her best skill. But she had caught something. And oh, she couldn't wait to show Eclipsefur! Would her mentor be proud..? Hopefully! Even if it was just a scrawny mouse. It would feed someone, wouldn't it? Someone with a small appetite. The mouse was fullgrown, just.. tiny. Probably having a hard time finding food, too. Now it was back off to camp! Or maybe not. Because she caught a familiar scent. Marshy, but something else, too. Something familiar. Or someone, rather! Camopaw. The appretice blinked, muzzle curving into a smile despite the mouse. What was he doing? Out training, perhaps..? But it was only his scent. No possible-mentor scents. Off she went, course changing to head for where he was with hurried pawsteps. Where, oh where, was the Camopaw~? Ah-ha! The small apprentice paused when finally in-sight of the other, gently setting the mouse at her paws and lowering into a crouch. Did he know she was there? Hopefully not! He wasn't facing her.. but had he heard her approach..? She hesitated, waiting for a greeting. If none came.. perfect! Forward the multi-colored apprentice would creep, keeping quiet and low. Closer.. closer.. had he noticed her approach yet..? She could only hope not. Least he ruin her surprise attack! Was she close enough yet? Spiderpaw paused to ponder this, head tilting. Watching. No, a pawstep or two more would make it perfect! Step.. step.. leap! The little cat tensed, letting her muscles tighten until they shook.. then launched off, claws unsheathing to give a bit of traction, then hiding back into her white paws as soon as she was into the air. Leaping; trying to pounce on the much bigger apprentice. "Camopaw~! I've got you now~!" A singsongish 'battlecry'; exclaimed mid-leap. Would he react in time..? If not, she'd probably land on him. Though.. the small she-cat probably didn't weigh enough to unsettle him much; unless she startled him from his spot. Then perhaps. But if not.. she'd pounce, and nip -- playfully -- at his ear. "You're an awfully big mouse.. Eclipsefur will be so proud of my catch!" More teasing.

Camo barely noticed his own movements, let alone those of the other, creeping apprentice. He had absolutely no clue she was there while he bent; spazzishly giving his left arm a few frantic licks. Why the cleaning? Apparently it was a nervous tick he had picked. A red flag for anyone who knew him well enough.. Of course, no one did, and it was new. He was safe in his nervous cleaning. Or so..He thought. Something attacked him.
Like a bird getting trod on, he cried out; a sharp, surprised yet almost-hiss like noise, large body trying to frantically take off, but getting stuck in it’s odd position. Under attack! He hissed, and slashed around; coiling in on himself to face the attacker. Oh. Wait. That wasn’t an attacker. Instantly, he went still; blue eyes widened, slitted pupils once again turning circular in focus. Spiderpaw!
He was immobile for a surprisingly long time. One would assume that when they figured out they weren’t getting attacked by a predator, they would look relief. But he didn’t. Instead, his expression was just a surprised. Perhaps, if he could have, he would’ve been blushing. But alas. “H-hi Spiderpaw.” Mousebrain! He had screamed like a kit! It wasn’t even for a good reason, like getting eaten alive or something.. How embarrassing! His tail twitched rapidly, then fell limp; hanging over the root he was balanced precariously on. Ohh the embarrassment.
"Yeah-yeah." A big mouse. Or, atleast..He screamed like one.

Mission success! She had pounced.. and caught the bigger apprentice off guard, as suggested by his cry. Uh-oh! Time to not fall off. Or try not to, atleast, as he hissed and twisted toward her. Then.. apparently realized it was no attack. Nope, just Spiderpaw! Did she scare him? Hopefully not too much. Purring time! The sound rose up from her chest happily, beaming at the bigger apprentice. "Hi Camopaw~" Tail swish. Was he happy to see her? Probably not. She'd just.. pounced out of nowhere, made him think he was underattack.. and now.. he was Camochair again. Because the little apprentice plopped herself quite happily ontop of him, stretching out to give him a head-lick. "Did you miss meee~?" ..Probably not that, either. Because.. as stated.. she had surprise-attacked. Which was sort of rude, wasn't it? Hopefully he wouldn't be too displeased by it.
"I do believe you're the biggest mouse I've ever caught! I don't think I can drag you back to camp, though. No one will ever believe the stories, sadly!" More teasing comments, and head-lick attempts; in the wrong direction, of course. "What're you doing out here by yourself, Camopaw~? I was just hunting, and I caught a mouse! ..A real one, not a Camomouse~ I left it over there, though." A tail flick towards the mouse, the little apprentice puffing up in pride. Quick, Camopaw, flee! Before you end up with a kitty mohawk. Because it was grooming time. "How's your training going? Do you like your mentor? Eclipsefur seems nice. You might know her, she's in our clan.. pretty black warrior with blue eyes. I bet all the toms are after her! Who's your mentor? She's not from Marshclan, is she?" Talking. Lots of it. Was she even giving time for Camopaw to reply? Yeah.. not much. He could answer.. after she rambled happily to him.
"Have you been practicing playing? I might spring a test on you at any moment, you know!" Happy purrs. Camopaw was so cute! "Camomouse~"

He wasn’t sure if he was excited at her presence or horrified. His mind was reeling; part of him was overjoyed at her coming, part of him was disproving of his own fail. Over..and over and over. He tried to get a caps on his swirling thoughts and listen, but he was greatly unsuccessful. Too much said at a bad time. Not that he would complain..He loved hearing her talk, he just couldn’t understand most of it right now. So..He just laid there, an limp kittychair for the time being. What to say, what to do? Why was it suddenly difficult? Sat on or not, he felt..Warmer with her around. Tingly. He hadn’t the first time they had met..But, slowly, it had grown. Now every time he saw her, he both wanted to near..And to flee.
Had he eaten something bad? Surely there was something wrong with his head. Maybe he had eaten a mouse that had been left too long, and now his brain was under the influence of some sickness. One that shown no signs whatsoever other than being very confused and feeling tingly. Yes, that was it. it had to be it. He coughed a little. Yeah, no, it wasn’t it. The tingly..It wasn’t nessesarily bad. It was..He couldn’t explain it. “I was just.. Sitting a bit..” Because..That’s what ever cat did. Sitting a bit. No, really, he had been out here thinking of Spiderpaw, and thinking of why he couldn’t –stop- thinking about Spiderpaw. But, eh..He wasn’t going to tell her that, now, was he?
He shifted a bit, careful not to upset her balance, less she fall off him. He was comfy kittchair now! Or, atleast..He didn’t feel the need to protest. Not even the Mohawk, which she had no doubt formed on his head already. Alright, this..he made a little face at. But only this. Mohawks..They felt strange, after all.
